Abstract
Diabetes is one of the leading cause to becoming type one or type two diabetic. Diabetes is highly common in African American’s, also to get this disease under control you have three options diet, pills, or insulin. This disease can cause so many problems with the breaking down of ones organ. Diabetes is also known as a silent killer, it works both ways it can either be too high or too low. Diabetes is a serious life long illness caused by high level of sugar in the blood. This disease don’t discriminate it attack infant, toddlers, and hereditary. Diabetes is one of the leading cause to America’s deaths, statistics states that there are a lot of death surrounding diabetes. When people die of diabetes it is caused by a coma, from sugar being too high or too low not being control. It is two types of diabetes “Type 1, Type 2” one that the body don’t use insulin properly it is “insulin resistance” and the other one is common in children and young adults, insulin is needed to control sugar into energy into their daily lives. Some people go see an Endocrinologist because one of the things they specialize in many things one of them is diabetes. All diabetics have a glucose machine, they use it to check their sugar. It can make you very tired if it too high or too low it can mess your mobility up and equilibrium be off. Sometimes when their sugar is to low they have to eat something with sugar in it to bring it back up, also people with diabetes they have to watch their sugar intake. They have products for people with diabetes with no sugar added. The risk factors about diabetes is obesity, overweight, gestational diabetes, inactivity, prediabetes. Obesity is an eating disorder that cause diabetes to get worse, it also make the cells become more resistance it become to the insulin.
