Abstract Most of the notorious killings of the 20th century were committed by youth and is not a new phenomenon. This unthinkable acts were once rare deviants, are now becoming more common in society. Most people kill because of anger, curiosity, or what they suffered from inside their environment. The rational of a kid killer may even go as far as some sort of mental illness, emotional problem, or abandonment issues.

Youth and Violence “Some of the most of the notorious killings of the 20th century were committed by youth and is not a new phenomenon” (Davis, 2003). Dedrick Owens a six year old child took a shot gun to Buell Elementary School in Flint, Michigan. Dedrick shot a six year old girl Kayla Rolland. “Criminal behavior is a decision making process focused on a personal gain, meaning kids that kill kids simply choose to do so” (Gonzalez, 2007). In cases where selfish motives and antisocial tendencies become reality. Criminal behavior is a seduction to an individual deviance. It’s not the parent’s fault for why their children kill kids. Children have a mind of their own. Every human-being have a mind of their own. Yes, it is up to us as adults to try to raise our children the best way we can, but we can’t control their actions. Some of you don’t believe in disciplining your children. Some of you believe in the old biblical teachings, “Spare the rod, and spoil the child” (Proverbs 13:24). Leave it to the world that would be the reason your child killed. I’m not saying we can’t blame the parents at all, but in most cases we can’t.
Yes, I do understand if the mother, father, or caretaker is abusing the child, and I don’t mean just physically. They can be abused mentally, emotionally, or even sexually. Yes that would break a child down, make them want to hurt others. Yes, a child could have abandonment issues
