Why cats and rats/mice are enemies and the Cat and Rat legend of the Zodiac.

The stories of the, Cat and Rat legend of the Zodiac and How cats and mice became enemies, these stories are legends that explain what things that have happened in these stories. The Cat and Rat story explains how the Rat Zodiac came to be. This essay will show the similarities and differences of the stories of, the Cat and Rat legend of the Zodiac, and the story why Cat and Rats/Mice are enemies.

First the essay will explain the story one the Cat and Rat legend of the Zodiac. The emperor announced there was a race being taken place through the woods, and across the biggest river. The Buffalo, Cat, and Rat had made a deal to let Cat and Rat ride the Buffalo early in the morning in order to win a place in the Zodiac. The Rat had tricked the Cat with delicious fish in the water, and pushed the Cat off into the river, once he was near the river bank the Rat had jumped of the …show more content…
Rat bribed Cat with fish. Cat got tricked/lied to. Started as best friends then enemies. Rat escaped from cat.

Five things that are different in the stories are:
Mouse/Rat did not intend to be selfish in the 2nd story. There was no race in the 2nd story. Cheated in 1st story and had an accident in the 2nd. No other characters than Cat and Rat. No Zodiac.

This story explains Why cats and rats/mice are enemies and the Cat and Rat legend of the Zodiac. I wrote this essay to compare and contrast these two stories. The strongest comparison is that Rat/Mouse tricked Cat by bribing him with fish. The strongest difference is when Rat/Mouse chewed a hole through the pumpkin on an accident because he was hungry, and in the first story Rat/Mouse purposely pushed Cat into the water to win a place in the Zodiac.
