Analysis of the Case
Listo System is one of the world’s top graphic service company established in 1990’s. After hitting the great success and growth, the company decided to hire a number of new employees creating new layers of supervisors and managers. The reason for the success of the system is that the employees presume that the organization recognizes employees and asked opinions regarding various matters of the organization which motivates the employees to do their task with full dedication and interest.
Impact of Power Shifting from Seller to Buyer
The advancement of technological, change in consumers need and demand, competitors are the major components affecting the listo system. The advancing technology has a major advantage that the company can provide quality services and products faster and more efficiently. The Customer expectation and demands are also changing rapidly due to the technology advancement because customer always tries to consume better things in cheap price. In the present context customers are more aware and conscious about their health. According to the growth of market the listo system was not able to fulfill the needs of the market. According to the customer needs and demands they were not able to produce quality goods and services without the use of latest technology. Hence, the availability of the similar product with cheaper price leads to increase in bargaining power of the customer and to consume those goods and product which are of high quality with a reasonable price. The increasing number of companies and competitors has created alternatives to the customers. As a result, customers demand of products that are cheaper and healthy has increased. And this leads to the power shifting from seller to buyer.
External factor affecting the Listo System
In the global market, no organization has control over the external environment. But one should have the eagle eyes over the environment to adopt over the changing environment. Timely Research about the market activities, customer demand ,social conflicts ,Raw material availability, Market competition etc are the major factors that affects the Listo system.
Some of the environmental factors affecting the Listo system are listed below:
1. Increased number of competitors in the market
2. Advancement in Technologies.
3. Changes in customer’s demands
4. Global market demand
5. Business expansions and Collaboration
6. More alternatives for customers
7. Increasing threats in terms of security and Robbery.
Summary and Conclusions
For any organization to operate successfully, a company should have a glance over the outer Environment in regular basis. The external factors are not under the control of any organization so if the company lacks to research on it, the whole organization tends to fail.

Jackie 's dilemma in terms of Cognitive Dissonance
Cognitive dissonance is a very powerful motivator which will often lead us to change the conflicting belief or action. The discomfort often feels like a tension between the two opposing thoughts. In the case of Jackie Hartnett was hired at Dorf Car Factory as she had a strong belief in recycling things. She had all the technical skills required for the job as well as had a personal passion for the well-being of the environment. Jackie had joined Dorf Car Factory with the hope that she will be pursuing her career goal and also focusing on her personal passion for environment conservation. But after several months, she uncovered the information showing several factory shipments of waste material being sold to another company where she discovered that the other company does not dispose the waste product. She immediately approached her boss, but was discomforted from his boss regarding the conservation policy that would incur additional cost. It created the dissatisfaction in her as she had a passion for environment conservation which motivated her to work for the company. This situation shows the dissatisfaction is termed as cognitive dissonance.
Effect of Dorf 's recycling program on Jackie 's perception and Impact on Performance
On Jackie’s one year anniversary with Dorf Car Factory, she discloses her dissatisfaction to the recycling procedure of the recycling company, but her Boss disheartened her. Due to this reason her motivation level has degraded. Motivation affects the performance of the employees and it is one of the major factors that affect the efficiency of the employees. Jackie was disturbed by hearing about the extra cost her perception changed regarding Dorf Car Factory and the cognitive Dissonance took place. Jackie is de-motivated because she found that the company does not follow the proper recycling procedures. Her different perception when she joined the company which has found to be different after she found out the actual information. Her thought for the company as a green employer, was changed. When she uncovered the factual information about the company, she realized that the company is not reliable and stable in words. She suddenly lost faith to the company. In Dorf Car Factory she found that she cannot recycle its waste product properly. The relationship between her and her company was totally different from each other. She was frustrated by the company. This created a psychological discomfort in the mind of Jackie. Now she has a dilemma whether to stay with her personal values or with the commitment of her company. She is confused whether to continue with the job or not. Dissonance occurs when two perception relevant to each other are in conflict. So these impacts will disturb in achieving the goals and decreasing the efficiency of the Jackie.
I think Jackie should not ignore the company’s choice to recycle and just keep doing her job. As Jackie had a strong believe in recycling process, she also had a personal passion for the well-being of the environment. As the company was excited about the perception on recycling of the waste products, she can explain the concept of social responsibility over the society and towards the oncoming followers. She should make plans involving the recycle of company wastes and how the company can make profit by adding value through social responsibility in marketing.
I think she is willing to walk away from a good paying job with benefits. She had joined the job because she perceived the company to be a green employer. She found the company different in talks and deeds. She cannot fulfill her dream ingaging in the company. Before leaving the company she can try to convince the Company to follow the procedures of recycling .If not, she can go to other company which she finds to be green employer.
Yes there are so many employers who are likely to be more open to recycling program. Research can be done in order to find out the actual procedure of the recycling process in the new company. Or she can also start her own business regarding the recycle process by which she can fulfill her dream too.
In conclusion, the situation of cognitive dissonance can arise anytime in our life or in our career. We should not ignore the situation; instead we can try our best to face the issue and find a solution.
