The Person I Most Admire

Do you know the person who taught me how to tie my shoelaces? He is the one

who I admire. He is my father. My father is the most important person in my life. He is

the one who raised me, looked after me, showed me the right way, gave me advices,

supported me, and did many and many things for me. I admire my father for many

reasons; he is a kindhearted, a strong-willed and a supportive man. He loves and care

for others, works hard in life and helps those who are in need.

My father is very kindhearted . He is the most loving and caring person I have

ever seen. He always wants to see us as one happy family. Because he loves us and

wants us to be the best, he tells us what is right and what is wrong. When we make a

mistake, he never shouts at us but he tells us that it is wrong and that we should fix it

and not repeat it again. My father treats people around him with kindness and love. He

never carries in his heart any grudge or hatred for anyone. There is always a big smile

on his face.

My father is a very strong-willed person whom when confronted with obstacles

would greet them as a challenge to be succeeded. Since he was a child, he struggled in

his life to reach to the top. My father had to drop out of school in grade 10 because he

had to find a job to make money. My father didn't go to school between those years.

Furthermore, my father is a supportive man. He likes to help anyone seeking

for any kind of help whether he knows the person or not. He never minds helping

my mother with the housework. For instance, he helps in washing the dishes, cooking

some meals and cleaning the house. My father encourages us to do better in our lives.

My father has worked for every penny to save up for our tuitions. My father is generous

too. He gives out money and food to the poor and doesn't need any

My Dad is an extremely hard working person. He is always up and ready for the day before anyone else in my family and He is also the last person up always working on His projects. Just as much of a harder worker He is my Dad is also twice, even three times nicer than. My Dad is the most loving person I know, He has been extremely supportive in all my endeavors in life. He always reminds me of how much He loves me and care for me, He also sacrificed so much of His life to give me a better opportunity. He works selflessly to provide for my brothers and sisters all our necessities and goes the extra mile to ensure that we have everything we need to be successful. He always is there for me when I need Him. He would literally drop whatever He is doing just to hear me rant or if I need a shoulder to cry on. He never belittles me or my problems and insecurities. He constantly reaffirms me of my potential when I feel just like garbage. He is always telling me I am destined for greatness, I am priceless and worth more than the world to Him. Even when I hear Him tell me these things over and over I believe Him because He is extremely genuine. It is actually because of Him that I want to help people with my life. He always told me to never be greedy or money hungry, but that I should use my wealth to help the poor. He never looks down on people in a worse position than Him, He always calls other people our brothers and sisters.…

I had to get my GED and I had to have a job. I enrolled in a program at Moraine Park Technical College and earn my HSED (High School Education Diploma) and at the same time worked with him as his ground man. When I was 18 he started his own Cable TV contracting company and gave me a job. We worked together until I was 21. During that time he taught me how important it was to have a good work ethic and to take pride in your work. Every job site we worked at we were continuously praised on how fast and how well we did our job. This lead to more and more work because we built a reputation for not only fast, reliable, and quality work, which spread throughout the Cable TV…

One of the reasons that my dad is my hero is because when I had to go to the emergency room for my back he never left my side. He was the one that was willing to take me. He knew that I was in a lot of pain by the look on my face. When we got there he went in and had gotten me a wheel chair because I could not walk. Even though my back was fine, I felt better that he was there with me.…

Over the years his real job has come with many different titles. For 50 years he has been a son and brother, for 31 he has been a loving father, for 26 he has been a dedicated husband, for 5 he has been a grandfather, and for 18 years and counting he has been and will always be my mentor. Today I would like to honor my father John Zachary Smith, and explain to you how and why he has become my mentor. Standing at exactly 6 feet tall, sporting dark black hair and tan skin, being loud, extremely talkative and radiating with energy, are just a few characteristics that can be attributed to his Italian heritage. When introducing himself to someone new, he reaches out his rough and calloused hand giving them a firm handshake and replies “My name’s John Smith, really honest”. My father has the ability to make friends with anyone because he is truly a real joy to be around. He sparks conversations with people and it would seem that were best friends.…

What non-fiction character can do all this? I ask you. Have you ever wanted something more? Ever wanted to make your life memorable or meaningful. You can. Why can't you do it? How many people alive today havn't been bored. Not your normal everyday bored. Not Short term bored. Bored with everything. Bored that everyday you have to get up and do the same thing. For hours. Hours piled like bricks on top of each other. These hours fueled by caffeine and fed by sleep. Lacking in excitment and spontanicity. Four walls. A floor and a roof. Yeah! Even when everything is perfect; even when you have nothing to worry about, even when your present situation is admirable at least, you may still be bored. “You can't become a decent horseman until you fall off and get up again, a good number of times.” Says he. “Oh, and as for the scars, broken bones, aching limbs and sore back I consider them just gentle reminders that life is precious - and that maybe, just maybe, I am more fragile than I dare to admit.” He said. And he quote “There's life in a nutshell.” Bear Grylls. As if to say it doesn't matter. As if to say it doesn't matter when you fall as long as you can make it back up. You can't feel good without bad, in other words.…

My Grandpa is a short man, he is bald on the top of his head, smells of aftershave, and he is stern, but yet gentle, at the same time. His hugs are tight, gentle and loving. I admire my grandpa the most because of his courage and determination to make a good life here in the United States for himself and his family, instead of just coming over to the United States and expecting everything handed to him.…
