A Poem for Our Teacher
Teacher we love you,
For all the kind things you do,
Using your teaching talents and diligence,
Working day and night,
To keep everything balance,
To bring the best out of students,
So they will always get good grades in their exams,
We know for you, it is pivotal,
For them to reach their potential.

Teacher we love you,
As you are students’ light,
That never extinguishes,
That illuminates darkness,
Guides students to get back on track,
When students are lost,
Having unending patience,
Having unselfishly spend her valuable time with us,
An effort that will ingrain deeply in our heart.

Teacher we love you,
At times, we know, that there is stress,
That will happen in students’ daily life,
To alleviate students’ stress,
Teacher puts aside her work,
To be patient,
To bring in motivation that will never falter in students,
A motivation that will spur students,
To go through thick and thin unaltered,
That cast away stress and problems in students.
A motivation that will drive them to attain their goals,
A motivation that never perish,
To overcome the even more arduous challenges in the near future,
A motivation that will always blaze like an undying fire.

Teacher we love you,
As your contributions are countless,
And impossible to be described with mere words.
Though we are parting ways,
Together, we shall overcome the invincible obstacles ahead.
Though we are parting ways,
Your effort and love to this school will never be forgotten,
And will be ingrained in our heart.
With our love and appreciation,
You are ranked right up with the best in the

When F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote the story “The Great Gatsby”, he never would have thought that it would generate such a debate over whether it is a love story, or a story on the failure of the American dream. Critics on both sides of the debate use specific quotes from the story to argue their points. My stance of the story is that it is a love story. The quote that can be used to argue that it is a love story is this, “Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay”, (83; ch.4).…
