Ku Klu Klan spawed from the postwar reaction grew in 1920. anti-foreign, anti-Catholic, anti-black, anti-Jewish, anti-pacifist, anti-Communist, anti-internationalist, anti-revolutionist, anti-bootlegger, anti-gambling, anti-adultery, and anti-birth control.
The Klan spread in the Midwest and the South.

The people from Europe were restricted in any given year to a definite quota (3%). Cut from 3%-2% in 1921.
Stopgap legislation of 1921 was replaced by the Immigration Act of 1924.

Makers of America - The Poles
The Poles were the largest immigrant group responsible for industrializing America’s call for needed labor. They began to develop a new identity as Polish-Americans. During the Revolution 100 Poles served in the continental army. Most Poles traveling to the USA moved to larger cities such as, Buffalo, Pittsburg, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
