Effects of News Media
News media and the American culture, how both these two subjects have changed? Just media alone has changed so much, and because of that is how our culture has changed also. When we this of media we think of our entertainment or the new, how we receive the news also. Do the media have social responsibilities? I believe that they do, but at the same time when it comes to the internet, we have a right of freedom of speech, so in other words I would say that there should be boundaries. We as American have the right to say what we want and how we want, but there is a fine line on the “freedom of speech”. There is so much information that is out on the internet alone, I believe that they should have responsibilities, people need to learn to respect one another. The media has put so much information out on the internet and if it is false then they should take responsibility for putting false information out there.
Political opinions everyone has them, most people hate them. Most politicians are using the media/internet to get their opinions out there, also to get votes if running for office. They now use a lot of social networks such as Facebook, YouTube, twitter, and different blogging websites. Politicians see it as a good advancement to use social media/networking to get themselves out there to the people, when having a social network it gives you the chance to communicate with the people and see what their issues are, so that you can help them with it. Politicians are starting to shape themselves for the better, but there are also the negative people out there that will use the media for the worse just to make someone lose a competition. Convergence, how has it transformed journalism and news consumption? Well it has helped it out.
