PART II- CASE STUDY 1. Background Description

Jocel’s Garden Suites-- A place where beauty meets serenity. It is a hotel which is owned by Jocel Mabao Corporation. This corporation has many other businesses such as the Vermicasts, Goat Farm, Agri-Farms, Poultry, and the Banana Plantation.
JOCEL’S was named after Jo Mabao and Cecile Mabao-Caballero, who are the children of the late, Mr. and Mrs. Mabao. The Jocel’s Garden Suites is situated at Purok-2, Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon. It comprises thirteen rooms which are designed to provide the maximum comfort and tranquility for the guests. Their accommodations are packed with complimentary breakfast, unlimited Wi-Fi internet access, flat screen, and remarkable ambience. It also caters different events and activities which can be conducted in Jocel’s Garden Venue.
At the entrance of Jocel’s Garden Suites is the cozy Celien’s coffee & foodshoppe where guests can relax while having their favorite brew or snacks. The cafe also provides free internet and a wide range of coffee selection and local delicacies that will surely entice your senses.
This is a venue of a multi-functional hall that is ideal for meetings and social functions. It can be divided into two separate areas with a maximum capacity of one hundred guests per area. The Jocel’s Garden Venue fully air-conditioned and equipped with modern sound systems, retractable chairs and tables, food and catering services, and full-time venue staff. The venue is really built for a purpose, in a manner that the Jocel’s Garden Venue is applying for accreditation to the Department Of Tourism. In order to be accredited it is compulsory for them to establish a guesthouse or a hotel. So, a fully furnished hotel was opened to the public last April 2012. This hotel is far more concerned in implementing the international standard operations of a hotel in order to give satisfaction and comfort to the guest.
