~ The topic and claim are basically stating that the higher you raise the drinking age the worse off all the college kids are going to be, If we did lower the drinking age it would take away their sense of rebelling and adrenalin rush that they get from doing something illegal. ~ The author’s point of view is that “I’ve been there I know what happened because I know what I did” . He thinks that the should lower the drinking age because it will take away the excitement.
* My experience with this issue is seeing people you care about or are friends with being hospitalized, hurt in accidents, going to jail or even killed because of some liquid. For instance a friend of might in high school, I was a sophomore and he was a senior. Him and another buddy of mine were driving home from a friends house at mason one night, The driver hadn’t been drinking. They approached a light over by Westfield high school. Everything seemed fine they stopped and waited patiently for the light to turn green. When the light turned green they proceeded across the intersection turning left, When out of no where a driver hit the passenger side of the vehicle and killed my friend instantly. It turns out the driver that hit them had been drunk. I learned to never drink and drive for sure, It hit me that hard. I’ve just had a lot of friends who partied so hard they couldn’t walk, were incoherent, were just stupid enough to do something dumb and get hurt for it. Like a time a friend of mine was like “I bet I can elbow this windshield and shatter it” because he was so wasted. Well he did it and needless to say I had to drive him to the
