As this year comes to an end, North students try to focus on the timeless memories of the 2012-2013 school year. Sports, clubs, and students succeeded beyond anything that has happened in NFHS history leaving a lasting keepsake of this school year. The girls volleyball team made it to the regional competition and the Hackbots traveled to the Global competition for the first time in North history. This school year was unlike any other. NFHS students showed their Raider pride and dignity during spirit weeks, sports events, and everything in-between. This year, the Raiders demonstrated how truly different North is from any other school. The courageous work of Student Senate's reconstruction of the homecoming nomination process allowed students to nominate their peers who may not have previously had the opportunity to walk across our home turf. Most students would not be able to ignore the cheers flooding the gym during a dodgeball competition in order to lose a game to let another student have their shining moment. Most schools do not have teachers who would participate in a Harry Potter themed event or choreograph an entire dance for a school talent show and enjoy every second of it. North is different. North is magical. North is home. On May 24, the class of 2013 will walk the halls of North Farmington one last time, leaving their second home, four years of friendship, and countless memories behind but they are not leaving behind their raider spirit and can forever call themselves Raiders.
