I Want to Be Better
I Want To Be Better
My anger had now completely gotten out of control. Although anger is a completely normal human emotion, I would not disagree that mine had taken control of me. My temper was quick and I had a short fuse. My deeds as a result of my wrath bore consequences that are hard to bear and I still regret my actions.
On this particular day that still lingers in my memories, we were to go for a road trip with my little brother and a couple of friends. All necessary preparations had been made and we were more than eager to leave for our destination which was a five star beach hotel located about three hundred miles away with a variety of amenities at the right price.
We were four in number. Brian my best friend, Michelle who was my classmate at school, Ken my little brother and of course myself. We boarded a bus and we were on course within no time. We arrived after a five hour drive and we headed for the fancy beach hotel where we spent our night.
The next day, we headed for the beach to enjoy ourselves. We played games and also got to swim in the beach. It was crystal clear that everything was going in the right direction. It was not until when my little brother, Ken plotted an embarrassing scheme against me. He pulled my swim suit down in front of everyone. Before I could pull it back up, I noticed that everyone was laughing their hearts out including Brian and Michelle.
My whole life, I had never been embarrassed to that extent. I felt like the world would swallow me up alive. I stood there feeling annoyed and I could feel my rage build up. I decided that I was going to revenge what Ken had done to me and I vowed to stop at nothing.
Later that night, I managed to convince him to come and swim with me at the swimming pool that was just outside the hotel. Unaware of my intentions and excited at my request, he quickly agreed. We went to the deeper end of the pool and I knew it was the perfect time to execute my revenge. I still felt angry at him and I

The Dominican Republic, Punta Cana Is one of the most glorious places I've ever had ever visited; I felt like I was in a lush tropical island paradise. After getting off, the plane walking into a hut of an airport, I felt excited and nervous to be in a foreign country. My husband and I were greeted upon arrival to the resort with a cold washcloth and a glass of champagne, I felt like a queen. A couple of days later we had a Remarriage vow ceremony for our fifteen wedding anniversary on the beach. Everything…

I started to get up, when I put pressure on my foot it killed like hell, but something in me wanted to beat this guy up so much that I ignored it. "You're making a mistake!" Shut up. I was walking over to the guy when someone pushed me down; I looked up to see Tom standing over me. The other three guys were laughing so hard that one of them was on their knees.…

One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

My future husband and I were driving home from Tucson, Arizona to Algona, Iowa, but we were stopping by Las Vegas, Nevada to get married along the way. It was a normal Friday in March except for the fact that I got my license. So my friends and I thought about what we were going to do now that I have my license. Well, we cruised around town thinking we were hot stuff and that we were better that most kids in school since I had my license before many of my friends. We decided that we'd go off-roading since I had the huge truck. It was a hunter green 1979 Ford F-250 Custom. It had huge 33-inch tires, a loud crackling exhaust, and a unique 2-inch thick oak plank flatbed. It really was a beast. So we roared around the backroads hitting bumps and flying into fields just causing a little mischief not doing too much harm. After a week of horsing around in the truck, we became quite bored. So we decided to do something else. We sat around pondering what to do, nothing really came to mind. So my friends and I decided to go to a girl in our class's birthday party at the local recreation center. So on the way to the party we contemplated what we'd do afterward. My friend Chris brought to our attention the he just bought a brand new paintball gun. So with that in mind, we decided that we'd cruise around after the party and shoot houses with it. So we went to the party. We danced, talked with friends, flirted around with the girls, and had an all-around good time. So at the party we discussed who and where we'd go shoot the paintballs. We unanimously chose to shoot a girl's house that we really disliked. Till this day, neither of us knows why we dislike her. But anyway, Shannon Everett was her name and her house was the target. So as the party came to a close, Chris, Sise, and I sprinted to the truck excited about the attack on Shannon's house. We speeded to Chris's house so he and Sise could change and to get the Trracer, the beautiful new gun. While waiting for them, I could only feel the adrenaline pump in my body. As Sise and Chris pounced down the stairs, Cathy, Chris's mom asked why we were all…

We eventually had the idea to go swimming. I love swimming in Arizona because the water is not cold in and back at home we don’t have a pool. The things I don’t like is that we have to wait for an adult to watch us and in the daytime the ground is so hot with red ants crawling all over as we walk to the pool. Once we finished changing to our swimsuits we all rushed out the door into the warm dark night. Shaun immediately jumped into the turquoise water lit up from the one light at the bottom splashing my family. Gabe and I then put our towels on the closest chair to us and jumped after…

My school took everyone on a field trip to Florida. We did it because everyone wanted to. We had been talking about it all year. It was finally happening. We are going to Appleville, Florida. We are going there for 1 weeks. We are staying at the St. Lee Hotel. We flew from Little Woods, Minnesota to Appleville, Florida. It took three hours and forty-five minutes. We got to Appleville at 5:00pm. When we got there we all checked into our hotel rooms. Right after we checked in we went swimming. There waterpark was amazing! They had three giant slides, four diving boards, an indoor and outdoor pool, and a hot tub. We got done swimming at 9:00pm. After that we were hungry so we went out to eat. We went to a restaurant called The Lounge. They had all the food you could think of! They had an amazing variety of burgers, any sandwich you could think of, tacos, chicken strips, and many other foods. Jake told Bertram about a line under the net near the pontoons called the “dolphin striker rod” that you can hang from it under the net when he brought that up to Bertram I almost let go of the rope.. I started angrily stuttering about how that was dangerous and how they couldn't do it. But while I was talking they sat on the pontoons and slid off onto the bar and into the water. I stopped talking just long enough to see them get in. I was furious. but I couldnt help from…

Like it was yesterday I remember my first vacation on a cruise. My Dad and I went on a three- day long cruise to The Bahamas. I had never been on a cruise, so it was a new experience for me. We needed to be in Tampa for our departure, so we drove the two hours from Orlando, Florida to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The next day, my parents rented my brother and I kayaks to ride in the ocean. I went out into the ocean farther than my brother. We had a race to see who could get back to the sand first, I won. After that, we went swimming in our private pool. We had multiple contests; who could hold their breath longest, who could do more back and front flips, a race to see who swam the fastest, and a race to see who could get to the other side of the pool, first. He won the first race and I won the rest of the rest of the races.…

Sitting there waiting, I was filling water balloons, waiting for Jeff or someone to return for a second time. When I saw him, I sprang up, jumped down from the sink, and alerted all my friends. We were looking from the eyehole on the door as he came up. We soaked him, and he was with dripping water from the corners of his clothes. He ran away yelling, " I'm gonna get you!" We slammed the door and went back inside, moving all the bed mattresses to the living room so we could sit and talk with blankets so we could stay warm. The room filled with laughter when someone said, "Did you see the look on his face?" or " He got it bad." Everyone was giggling and we chatted for about an hour and decided to go to sleep, because it seemed as though the boys weren't coming back.…
