Leadership Style Paper Essay Example
A leader is the perimeter of a company, the person who essentially exemplify the standards, objectives, and course of a business. Leaders construct the perspective that provides a basis for the business and conveys a replica to associates about who the business is, what it does, and its future endeavors. Leadership is a job within itself and must not be confused with the actions and responsibilities belonging to the team and associates. The main discrepancy in regard to many leaders is how effortlessly leaders are drafted in by duties of the work day in such a manner that duties engulf his or her direction as well as hinders his or her performance of the work role.
A successful leadership style
Leaders are expected to give direction and offer support for a job well done and can be managed through employee engagement. A leader's most important task is to keep his or her associate's actively engaged in the organization. A successful leader reflects how a leader can change basically who he or she is, the work he or she does, and most significant, how he or she leads. A leader who leads with the democratic leadership style emanates a successful leadership style. Involving employees in decision-making is an excellent approach to becoming a successful leader. Employee involvement builds an environment in which people have influenced decisions and actions that affect his or her job. The democratic leadership style is successful because a leader will respect everyone and appreciate what associates do collaboratively and praise associates for a job well done. The democratic leadership style assumes that individuals are motivated by internal drives and impulses, want active participation in decisions, and want to get the task done; the leader uses participation and majority rule in setting goals and working toward achievement (Porter-O’Grady & Malloch, 2007).
