Abstract
Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce) is any direct or indirect transaction conducted and facilitated through a wireless telecommunication network. Throughout the 1990s the introduction of the internet and ecommerce reshaped the way that businesses do business and the way that consumers interact with businesses. Businesses took the opportunity to automate many processes that before would have been handled manually, from ordering to customer service. M- Commerce is a major application domain for mobile devices enabling users to perform commercial transaction wherever they go. This emerging mobile e-commerce environment presents a new set of issues. However these applications require a high level of security. In this paper we shall discuss the need of m-commerce, the way it is used and its importance in every field. M-commerce technologies have the potential to improve consumers' lives, spawn new businesses and make existing businesses more profitable. This article will discuss how m-commerce conducts transaction of the mobile device through internet and how these technologies are developed throughout the years.
M-Commerce offers the possibility of an entire new level of financial flexibility, taking advantage of both social and technological developments. In this paper, we identify the special characteristics of m-commerce and will discuss several issues relating security, bandwidth and business.
