1. Introduction:

With the rapid global growth in electronic commerce (e-commerce), businesses are attempting to gain a competitive advantage by using e-commerce to interact with customers.
Nowadays, online shopping is a fast growing phenomenon. Growing numbers of consumers shop online to purchase goods and services, gather product information or even browse for enjoyment. Online shopping offers wide range of products and services to fulfill consumers’ needs. The fast growing and diverse Internet population means that people having diverse tastes and purposes are now going to the Web for information and to buy products and services.
Online shopping is a new concept in Bangladesh. Online shopping is now a growing phenomenon in both city and rural area. As the customers are increasingly becoming more aware of the conveniences and their own lifestyles, they are in many cases preferring to go to online shopping rather than to physical shops around. So, the customer satisfaction is important for growth of this sector. Customer satisfaction is a simple term stated as the level of shopping experience on online shops where the customer’s expected service level is met with the actual service provided by the retailer. Customer service is a series of activities designed to increase the level of satisfaction which means the product or service has met the customer expectation. Service quality is linked to the concepts of perceptions and expectations. The functional quality of a service is often assessed by measures of customer’s attitudes as in customer satisfaction questionnaires.
