The subject of adolescents breaking gender stereotypes fascinated me when I noticed how adolescents’ behaviour today don’t conform to the gender stereotypes that were created by society many moons ago. I have decided to consider how subverting gender stereotypes can help shape an individual’s identity, the reasons behind breaking gender stereotypes and how some people may disagree with it.
I searched for secondary material on the internet about gender stereotypes and how it has been a big issue in today’s adolescents. There was limited research on the specific topic I have chosen, but it has helped me develop the questions that would be valuable to my primary research.

There is little other reason for having these cameras apart from video-calling. he ease of taking selfies and the instantaneous ability to share with thousands or millions of followers. Being able to instantly show “Look where I am! Look what I’m doing! Look at what I look like!” is exciting and addictive for many internet users.
