c. I chose Diane Arbus because of her intriguing work. I like in Child with Toy Hand Grenade in Central Park because of the expression captured in not only his face, but his clothing and body language as well. It makes you wonder how exactly this photo became to be.

c. I chose Dorothea Lange because of her famous piece Migrant Mother. To me, this is one of the more recognizable portraits, even for someone who isn’t involved in art. The expression of hard time in the mothers face definitely makes an impact.

c. I chose Annie Leibovitz because her work has always interested me. Her use of bold poses and sense of intimacy make the photos interesting and you never want to stop looking at them. She also has photographed many current famous people and its neat to see how she portrays them.

c. I chose Steve McCurry because of Afghan Girl, one of his more famous portraits. I like this because of the bold colors. McCurry is good at capturing different emotions.

c. I chose Irving Penn because he is one of the first portrait photographers to use natural lighting. I find this interesting because his intentions weren’t to become a photographer, rather a painter. He shows that as an artist, it is not that hard to expand over different mediums and that exploring your abilities is okay.
