My goals in life are simple, yet they seem to be so complicated as I take the small steps to achieving them. College, which is one of my main goals in life, is rapidly approaching. Having to make critical decisions that will lay the stepping stones to the path I want to take in life is a new and exciting thing for me. I realize how important having a college education is today and I am willing to endure through all of the hard work and labor, so that one day I can look back and be grateful that I had an excellent education to help me reach my goals and live without regret.
Receiving a college education from Purdue University would not only be quite an accomplishment, but it would allow many opportunities for my future. Consequently, it allows for both professional and personal goals to be completed. My plan for post college is to attend medical school. I am still undecided as to what type of medicine I would like to practice, but college is definitely the first step I need to take to accomplish this goal. My professional goals tie into my personal goals. My personal goals are to get married and eventually start a family. Having a great education and a very supportive occupation would be a perfect foundation to start a family. My goal to go to medical school and become a doctor would also support me and my family very well financially. It would also pay off all of my loans that I will need to attend medical school. Another personal goal in my life, which I believe to be the most important, is to find out who I am and what God wants me to do with my life. I want to find meaning in my life. I think that by following my dreams, going out on my own and attending college, will aid me in that endless search for the true meaning in my life. I know that when I help others or I am giving back to my community, I feel the most like myself, and I seem to be in the right place or at least the place where God is calling me to be.
