JUSTIFICATION
Goat is called kambing in Tagalog and kanding in Visaya. In the Philippines is is raised for both meat and milk production. Native goats in the Philippines have a relatively smaller size than other breeds and cross breeding with Boer and Anglo Nubian breeds are achieving animals that produce more meat and grow faster. Goats are browsers and like to eat many varieties of plants rather than just eat grass. Goat raising in the Philippines is ideal in the uplands where there is plenty of leguminous forage and fodder crops including various grass varieties. Raising goats on coastal areas presents more challenges however you can take advantage of rice by-products such as rice hay and bran plus coconut copra and palm meals and more.
Goat meat is also known as chevon and is a real popular delicacy. Goat stew is also known as CALDERETA and is a favorite recipe among Filipinos. My wife is a Filipina and she makes real great caldereta papaitan is also another favorite recipe.

Projected Income Statement (Exhibit 2)
Assumption # 1
Assumption # 2
Assumption # 3
If per kilogram of goat’s meat is
Php 200.00
***1 goat = 30 kg.
6 goats = 180 kg x Php 200.00 x 1 kg
GROSS SALES…
Php 36 000.00
Less
Total Cost of
Production …
Php 27 725 .00
NET INCOME …
Php 8275.00
If per kilogram of goat’s meat is
Php 225.00
***1 goat = 30 kg.
6 goats = 180 kg x Php 225.00 x 1 kg
GROSS SALES…
Php40 500.00
Less
Total Cost of
Production …
Php 27 725 .00
NET INCOME …
Php 12 775.00
If per kilogram of goat’s meat is
Php 250.00
***1 goat = 30 kg.
6 goats = 180 kg x Php 250.00 x 1 kg
GROSS SALES…
Php 45 000.00
Less
Total Cost of
Production …
Php 27 725.00
NET INCOME …
Php 17275.00
Remarks: the recommended selling price is Php 250.00/kg (Assumption 2) because it gives the highest rate of income.
9
D. Projected Financial Statement
Projected Return on Investment (Exhibit 3) Net Income
ROI = ----------------------------------- x100 Estimated Cost of Production Php 17 275.00
= ----------------------------------- x100
Php 27 725.00 = 62.3%
This means that for ever one peso ( Php 1.00) invested b the proponent, it will earn Php 0.62. It therefore strongly manifests that this proposed project is SATISFACTORILY PROFITABLE because RIO > 10%.
Projected Benefit Cost Ratio (Exhibit 4)
Estimated Cost of Production
BCR = -------------------------------------------- x100 Estimated Gross Sales = 62 %
This means that for every one peso (Php 1.00) income by the proponent, it will incur an expenditure of 62 centavos.
