I am Md. Afjalur Rahman currently residing in Bangladesh as a part time lecturer of Daffodil International University. I was graduated in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh ( 2009). After that due to my eagerness of construction higher education I went on University of Applied Sciences Berlin, Germany in October 2009 and finish my study June 2011 with German grade “Good”. I want to mention that my thesis paper was admired by my fellows and professors. Therefore quest of deep learning and my professor’s appreciation I feel that I can develop the construction industry with my theoretical ideas. I want to add that I have a very good understanding on Building Information Modeling an emerging technology in civil engineering field and also interest on Lean Construction, Sustainable Construction. Thus I contact with many professors around world’s best universities with my thinking and as a form of written proposal. Many people admire my proposals and ideas. But I feel interested to work with Dr. Vicente Gonzalez (University of Auckland, New Zealand) due to similarities in our thinking and interests. As a result we make a research theme on sustainable construction named as “Integrated application of BIM and Lean Construction to promote sustainability in construction projects.”
According to his inspiration and my eagerness on research I apply in University of Auckland with my proposal. After judging all of my previous qualifications University of Auckland Graduate Centre, School of Graduate Studies approves my proposal and Registration as a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering. In this occasion I want to mention that my proposed and granted time line starts from 1st April 2012.
Finally I am confident on my research idea that I will prove my ideas through the help of University of Auckland academic guidance. This research would be add one milestone in my career
