Dear sir/madam,

My name is ....., mum of two. I am enrolled on a cache course teaching assistant level2 and as part of the course I am required a placement of 6 hours a week from k1 upwards.
I am writing to you to asked if you have any needs for helpers around our school. I understand it a very busy school and a good reputation. Over the last 5 years I had develop a passion for teaching. I have helped and taught Sunday school for the last 7years. I have being around the youth and children work ministry at church from my early teens and therefore perceive this to be a hobby not a career. Since my son has started school I have help at his school, from going forest school to helping with school trips. My first inspiration for teaching came to light after having my children, from seeing them develop and their faces when they just learn new things. I also wanted to spend as much time with them as possible and teaching offered me the flexibility to be with them on school holidays. My main inspiration was growing up seeing my dad turning the lives of young boys about as a headmaster, really made me think I could do this professionally.
Thought, my neither university qualification nor college are in teaching, I believe I could use some of my knowledge of some aspects of law to help me identify some welfare issues that arises in an around the classroom. I am a strong believer that a happy environment helps and facilitate teaching. I am also very keen to use my language skills.
Discovering my love for helping and supporting others I decided to take this course to help me acquire the knowledge to broaden my teaching experience and very much looking forward to expand.

I will be grateful if you would offer me a

I have had experience volunteering with the Urdd, supervising groups of primary school children at Glan-Llyn; where another member of staff and I were responsible for a group of children while they took part in various activities. Each Tuesday morning for the last year, I have volunteered at Ysgol Gynradd Cemaes at the Infants' department, where I helped the children with their work and spent time with small groups of children on specific tasks. During my time volunteering at Ysgol Gynradd Cemaes, I also spent time with pupils who suffered from learning difficulties, and this helped me to see how certain tasks have to be adapted in order for pupils of varying abilities to succeed. I have also played a large part in the process of transferring pupils in my school's catchment area from primary school to secondary school, by volunteering as a Year Twelve buddy, providing a point of contact at the school for the pupils if they felt in any way uneasy or upset. I was also part of a group of Year Twelve students who ran an arts club for pupils from years 3-9 where primary school children were introduced to the school and some of its current pupils and students through a series of arts and performance workshops. Through…

In addition to my enthusiasm for investing in young lives, I have done some volunteering as a teaching assistant to get some hands-on classroom experience for formal teaching. My experience at the school allowed me to acquire a number of skills and also help enhance my weaker ones. The key skills and strength that I possess for success include my enthusiasm and dedication to my assigned duties and my ability to support and inspire young people through being a good listener to them and offering appropriate advice. I am also highly skilled in assisting the instructor in supervision of students’ arrival and departure time, performing clerical and record keeping tasks and maintaining discipline of the classroom in the absence of the instructor. One of my greatest strengths is helping maintain a well-disciplined learning environment, with minimal interruptions and maximum productivity. This is achieved by pulling misbehaving students aside, reinforcing positive behaviour, and implementing a reward system.…

During my regular trips to Kenya I have witnessed first-hand the power of health within our world. Visiting one of the biggest slums in Africa (Kibera) has been a driving forces in my aspiration to work with young and vulnerable people; it ignited a belief and desire to make a difference and re-enforced my love for and interest in working with children. My interest in children’s nursing also stems from many hospital visits I was required to make as a child; I became inspired by the work of the medical professionals and how well I was treated, and wondered what it would be like to care for others. CHILDREN NURSING RELATED.…

I decided to explore these opportunities as they provided an opportunity to work with children as I have an interest in becoming a teacher. My identified work opportunities will enhance the flourishing of myself as it will teach me to be more patient, communicate better, develop leadership skills and provide me with the chance to learn how to deal with different types of people. Moreover, these work opportunities provides a chance for me to improve public speaking which I struggle with, allow me to create networking, and gain teaching abilities. The gap in these work experiences are that although it provides me with an opportunity to work with children however, it includes working in small groups rather than an entire class of 25-35 students. A method to fill this gap can be that to work as a teacher assistant so it gives a preview of what the environment of teaching several students with one person, the teacher is charge is like.…

The world I am from is one of looking beyond the past and searching ahead. In the seventh grade, my seventh year of playing soccer, I had become adapted to the tougher, late-game situations, and being the second best goalie in the league (including the eighth graders), I had pride in my ability to perform under pressure. But, in the last few minutes of a tied game with a penalty kick against me coming my way, I was terrified. The shot had fired, and sure enough, blocked like I was trained to do. I immediately jumped on top of the ball, and the player, hoping to kick the ball out of my grasp, broke my right foot and became the Achilles’ heel to end my career.…

I am very excited about applying to ISU. My first opportunity to visit ISU was three years ago when my family and I visited my sister, currently a senior at ISU, for family weekend. It was exciting to watch the Redbirds win the football game! I completely fell in love with the campus and environment as well. I felt comfortable right away and did not want to leave. Just last year, my high school had the opportunity to play at the Redbird Arena for the Basketball State Finals. I enjoyed walking with my friends, showing them around campus having been there several times. I am a person who loves walking and after being on campus countless times with my sister, it seems that every place or facility you need to get to is usually in walking distance. ISU simply has the type of campus layout that makes me feel very comfortable.…
