There are good movies and then there are movies that simply blow your mind. Since 2005, the “Dark Knight” trilogy has captivated its viewers with its deep story line and compelling characters. Christopher Nolan’s latest installment of the “Dark Knight” trilogy definitely belongs in the latter category. The Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to the trilogy and viewers will not be disappointed because entire film is jam packed with intense, fast paced action and heart wrenching emotion from the first scene to the very last. Being a fan of this story I expected the movie to deliver a deep entertaining story backed up with a rock solid cast of characters. The Dark Knight Rises picks up approximately eight years after the death of Harvey Dent, who you may remember from the previous film, was actually a villain. The truth has been buried and Gotham City has embraced Dent as a hero. The Dent Act went into effect essentially turning the crime ridden streets of Gotham City into a peaceful place to live. So peaceful in fact, that there was no need for a hero. Since the death of Dent, Batman was criminalized and he has not been seen in since. Unfortunately, Gotham City is about to learn how badly the city and its people will need Batman.
The people of Gotham were on a collision course with Bane, the most ruthless and deadly villain to ever walk their streets. Bane, played by Tom Hardy, is very intimidating because of the character’s size and ferocity. He is a large muscular man, who is covered in scars and wears a muzzle type of mask on his shaved head. Bane is part of a villainous cult known as the League of Shadows, which takes the viewer’s back to the very roots of the trilogy. It is Bane’s martial arts background, with the League of Shadows, that makes him such a formidable opponent. Through his teachings he is able to fight with a level of clarity and focus that is unmatched by any villain that preceded him. Every
