I think it is great that we have Writepoint as a tool for or college papers. Writpoint points out and recognizes errors that are most commonly made. I really like how this tool suggests comments and possible changes to the paper whether it is toward grammar and style. When I received my feedback from Writepoint on my Effective Persuasion paper I notice that there can be correction made to it. That is something I need to work on to make sure my writing is not tedious to read. I also have a bad habit of dividing two-part verbs and I use the word definitely too often. I need to watch out for using the same words and phrases excessively. I do not want my audience to get bored with my writing. By using a bit more of my vocabulary I can keep my essay entertaining and this may help persuade my readers…

One more thing I noticed was verb tense in my writing. I tend to have varying verb tenses in my writing. Then I forget to fix them while proofreading. In the Narrative 2, I only had a few verb tense mistakes. And then in my Vocabu-Lit essay, I had many more verb tense errors. Throughout my whole paper, I used present tense and past tense. I realize that this a problem I need to work to improve.…

In this article (The effects of focused and unfocused written corrective feedback in an English as a foreign language context) there are many different opinions regarding the efficacy of written corrective feedback. Truscott reflecting the views of teachers who adhere to process theories of writing , advanced the strong claim that correcting learner's errors in a written composition may enable them to remove the errors in a subsequent draft but has no effect on grammatical accuracy in a new piece of writing. While Ferris disputed his claim, she said if the correction was clear it would work.…
