LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER In class we read‚ "Lamb to the slaughter"‚ written by Roal Dahl. The story takes place one evening in the home of the Maloneys‚ who seem to be an ordinary married couple. The story "The Necklace" has more situational irony in my opinion then the story "Lamb to the Slaughter" which has less situational irony. Both of the stories have situational irony‚ but "The Necklace" tells more of a good story then "Lamb to the Slaughter." They all both good stories. The stories "Lamb to the Slaughter" and "The Necklace" both had good meanings. "The Necklace" tells a better story because the story explained how the main character which was Mathilde and she was very spoiled

Crazy Housewifes vs. Selfish Husbands The two short stories; Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl‚ and Jury of her Peers by Susan Glaspell have many similarities‚ and many differences in things like charters‚and murder. In Dahl’s short story a very chipper‚ pregnant housewife‚ Mary Maloney waits for her not so knowingly selfish husband to arrive home after a long day at work. On arrival Patrick Maloney is found weirdly silent. Mary then was thrown off balanced when her husband and father of her

In comparison I would say the necklace is better then Lamb to the Slaughter. I say this because Lamb of the Slaughter wasn’t that more of irony‚ but more of what was expected to happen. Like in the story Lamb of the Slaughter when she gets sad and mad‚ I kinda knew that she would do something about it. I also knew when she walked behind her husband she was going to hit him in the back of the head. Now in The Necklace in the beginning of the story‚ it had this girl named Mathidle Loisel‚ she is

IDC 4U1 Mrs. Robinson Alex Nikolic 04/12/2013 The article Face to Face by Cheryl Mahaffy focuses on restorative justice emphasizing that it focuses on repairing wrongdoing harms rather than meting out punishment. Restorative Justice is an apparoach to justice that focuses on the needs and morals of the victims rather than a criminal legal punishment.
