Section A
Although confused health and well-being have two very different definitions. Health can be defined by two perspectives, the negative and the positive. The negative perspective of health isn’t specifically looking at health in a negative way it more so looks at health as being free from illness, tiredness and upset for example; all the things that are related to being unwell. Whereas the positive perspective of health is when you look at how to actively stay clear from illness, this can be through taking up a sport or eating healthier. This is in correlation to well-being which is defined as “the state of feeling healthy and happy” . This can be confused with health as the person may look and act happy and healthy but there is no knowing what is going on inside the person health wise, mentally and physically.

Another is the illness wellness continuum states that “wellness is a process, never a static state” . This can be described as how you perceive your own well-being and health, you may be diagnosed with diabetes which would make people believe that you are on the negative scale of the continuum however the individual themselves will be on the positive side of the scale due to their outlook on themselves.
