Children need confidence in order to succeed so reflecting on how confident a child is will be extremely important. With some children who are lacking in confidence. it is often sensible just to praise rather than to point out anything that needs correction.
2.Feedback needs to be meaningful: children need to remember it, otherwise you will have wasted your and their time! It is therefore important to think about how you will help the child understand and remember the feedback. This means being clear in the way that you communicate and looking for ways to involve a child.
3.Feedback needs to be relevant: It is important that feedback is relevant to a child’s stage of development. For example, there is no point in commenting on spellings that are beyond the child’s current level of capability. If a child cannot spell c-a-t, it is unlikely that he is ready to learn to spell a more complex word such as ‘f-r-i-e-n-d’. It is always therefore better to focus on one or two points at a
