Emotional - I will spend more time with my family for at most an hour, for six day a week by the end of Christmas break so that I will feel more close to my family.
Academic – Over the break I will get caught up with all my class work.

Goal Reflection Question: Which of your wellness goals is the most important to you? Explain why.

My target heart rate zone is 125 bpm to 167 bpm.

Heart Rate Reflection Question: Were you able to maintain your workouts within your calculated target heart rate zone? Explain which activities you enjoyed most and which best helped you stay in your THR zone.

Answer: With some of the workouts I was able to maintain my target heart rate zone, and the activities I liked the most was the sit and reach and the trunk lift because they were not as hard as the others and those activities helped me stay in my target heart rate zone the best.

4 Do you think the range for your target heart rate zones identified by these websites is reasonable? Why or why not? Yes I do feel they are reasonable as when I had taken my heart without having done any strenuous physical activities for a little bit it was around 72 and then when I calculated it with a 55% of my energy toward physical activity my heart rate went up but it didn’t go up to a crazy amount.…

My third goal should probably be the simplest; sleep. We all need it, but seem to never get enough. I can testify to the positive results from getting adequate sleep, as I have reaped the benefits before. I will now make it a priority to go to bed at a designated time that gives me a full 8 hours sleep each evening. I do not foresee any issues with this as long as I go to bed when my husband does!…

Mid-way through my progression in the second semester I got tested on how well I was working to attain my fitness goals. Once indoors, working on the Arc Trainer and another time, jogging outside on the track. The heart monitor proved to see if I was working out to my maximum potential and the goal for everyone was to reach a target heart rate zone from 142-162. Outdoors, I felt like it was a little tough to achieve a decent heart rate, but my average was 152 bpm. Also, my maximum heart rate was 185 and I accomplished this by steadily running at a faster speed. Both times getting tested were surprisingly not too difficult, but was definitely a challenge at one point. By doing this, I correctly positioned a strap tightly around the upper part of my body and secured the heart rate watch around my wrist. While working…
