No matter what type of gifts a person may have, everyone in the church body is important to spread God’s message. There might be different types of people with different types of gifts, but the most important thing is to ask God for the gift most fit for you. Once the Holy Spirit has given a gift or gifts to a person, however, that person should accept it and learn to use it for God’s mission, that is, to spread His gospel.
II. LITERARY FORM
The literary classification of 1st Corinthians chapter 12 is considered to be an epistle or a letter. 1st Corinthians Chapter 12 was written by the apostle Paul. 1st Corinthians was one of many letters that Paul wrote. Out of the 27 books from the New Testament, 13 were written by the apostle Paul. In 1st Corinthians, Paul acknowledged the problems that church had: factions, incest, lawsuits, and sexual immorality. Overall, Paul had to address the people he loved who were acting unholy. In addition, he had to defend himself against people who were wrongly attacking him, his ministry, and his faith.

The reason that Paul is writing to the Corinthians is because they were in trouble. In this church, there were many young believers that was known to do sinful things. This letter was written when Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. According to many scholars, this letter was written in Paul’s life that could be found in Acts 18:1-7. Paul stated in this town for a year and a half (Acts 18:11). One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent! For being with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me” (Act 18:10).
