On June 14, 1942, this dairy started as the present for a thirteen-year-old girl named Anne; she is Jewish girl living in Amsterdam who has received a lot of gifts including this diary for her birthday. She describes how the Nazis are making the Jews wear a star and how they are hearing stories about other Jews getting tortured and killed.

She saw how scared and miserable Lies was. Anne felt terrible that she deserted her best friend. She promised that if both of she survive the war, she will make up for their missing time. This dream gave her hope that she will survive.
On July 15, 1944, Anne said that she believed that everyone is good at heart, but given time, the cruelty, death and suffering felt by the world from WW2 would end. She said that peace and tranquillity on earth would once appear again.
August 1, 1944, is the last diary entry by Anne Frank. This entry focused on her thoughts on her two personalities. She talked about why everyone thinks she is insufferable and how she knows that one side is bad, but she can’t do anything to stop it. The feelings and emotions in this passage were very fitting for the end of this astounding description of this brave girl.
An SS police officer arrested the eight people inside the Annex on August 4, 1944, by an SS police officer who got tipped off by an anonymous source. Anne was separated from her family and sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp where she died of Typhus in the March of 1945. Otto Frank was the only survivor, and one of their helpers gave Otto the diary, he, with the urge of everyone printed it to remember his family and the Jewish people that
