2016 Election Aftermath The 2016 presidential election is going to have many negative results. We will face many problems with Donald Trump as the 2016 president. Donald Trump is our next president and is taking health care coverage away, has no interest in addressing the world’s climate change, and is banning religious groups. To illustrate, Trump has pledged to take away health care coverage from 20 million people with no actual plan to replace it. He is delivering a full repeal of Obamacare. Health care is important because it protects you from unexpected, high medical costs. No one plans to get sick or hurt but health care covers these costs which other important benefits too. In addition, Trump has described climate change as a hoax
and has no discernible policy for or interest in addressing it. Burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas releases greenhouses gases such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The gases trap heat which causes the greenhouse effect to be more intense resulting in climate change. This changes the amount of ice, less ice means more heat in our Earth’s atmosphere which can change history and our humanity. Moreover, Trump has talked about banning entire religious groups from entering the country and forcibly removing other ethnic groups. Freedom of speech is also freedom of religion. As president, Trump wants to suspend immigration from areas of the world when there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe, or our allies. It may be because of terrorism, however, not all of those immigrants are terrorists; this was very offensive and unconstitutional. All in all, the United States will face many problems. Trump is already getting death threats and there has also been many riots about the 2016 Election Aftermath. Trump is distrusted and disliked. The changes has not happened yet but America chose Donald Trump as our next president. He will change our country. We just have to trust Jesus that he is making the right decisions which will make our country a better place.
