The Tenth Amendment: Any power not given to the government is given to the people. The Tenth Amendment allows people their natural rights and they shouldn't be taken away or rejected. There was a court case from “South Carolina v. Baker 1988” which had removed the federal tax exemption for interest earned on unregistered state bond and it violated the Tenth Amendment (Vile). Another court case was “National League of Cities v. Usery 1976” where the employees got paid minimum wage and had overtime pay for those working more than 40 hours, that invalidated the Tenth Amendment (Vile).…

Our justice system is one of the things I admire most about american government. The sixth amendment ensures American citizens in all criminal prosecutions the right to a speedy and public trial, the right to trial by jury, and the right to legal counsel. Without the sixth amendment our justice system would not be very just because those accused of a crime would not have sufficient legal protection. this would impact my life and the lives of all Americans.…

The U.S Constitutional amendments place limits on what law enforcement and how a trial should be governed. These strict rights are to be followed because if an officer fails to abide by the proper procedure, the trial court may forcibly put an end to evidence obtained in violation of proper procedure or even release the arrested suspect. This is an amendment that deals with each of the following: criminal due process, arrest, interrogation, search and seizure, Miranda, punishment, the right to jury trials, and the right to counsel.…

Lastly I would like to say that the 5th Amendment helps criminals or persons that were accused for a serious crime because a local judge cannot prosecute the person accused, it had to be indicted by a Grand Jury first in order to clarify that the crime is a infamous or capital crime. It also cuts down on accidental prosecutions of innocent persons. And even thought the death penalty is abolished some states and countries still practice it even though I believe they shouldn’t.…

The 8th amendment to the constitution prohibits the government from inflicting cruel and unusual punishments because they exhibited an inhumane way of executing "inmates", tortured their guilty victims to death and were considered to many as unjust. It also prohibits high bail or excessive fines against the defendant. However, it has also been deemed Unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of the United States (according to the Eighth Amendment) to inflict physical damage on students in a school environment for the purpose of discipline in most circumstances. Also, The 14th Amendment acts as a binder that holds the clauses of the 8th amendment and what the government can and cannot do to the citizens of the United States.…
