Learning takes place in a social environment it is important that we create a positive atmosphere where the learners feel at ease in a safe and comfortable surroundings where they can express their own opinions. Every learner has its own culture, background, experiences and needs. It is important that we lead from the front and establish good ground rules to prevent animosity, unrespectful and any kind of discrimination. Any of this should be challenged to guarantee fairness, decency and to be respectful towards their fellow learners. Its a bit like signposting as we conduct our primary role teaching our students, from time to times we will need to point them towards other professional who maybe can provide additional support for their learning needs. When we plan to run courses we will work with other professional to plan the source of funding for the courses and administration staff to receipt application forms for us. Its as simple as if we are running late we may interact with the caretaker who is also another professional.
3.2 Explain the boundaries between the teaching role and other professional roles
It’s really important that we know our own boundaries between our teaching role and the roles of our other professionals. For example by not becoming to friendly with a student who is one of your learners as this would over step the boundary. As this example would clearly overstep the boundary and it is important that we know where the role of the teacher / trainer stops.
