To analysis a survey done by the CIPD regarding absence due to stress and mental health problems

60% of organisations are taking steps to identify and reduce stress in the workplace, whereas 1/3 of organisations identify stress as a top cause of absence but are not taking any steps to address it. Over the past 12 months 1/3 have increased the focus on stress as a whole

Public and non-profit making sectors have one or more initiatives to support employees with mental health problems.
The most common methods used are counselling, flexible working options/improves work-life balance and employee assistance programmes. Most organisations are trying to raise awareness of mental health problems.
Managing mental health ctnd……. 1/3 are increasing awareness across the whole organisation increasing from 28% in 2013 to 33% in 2014.
28% of organisations are promoting the value of good quality conversations between line managers and staff about mental health.
23% are providing training for managers to support staff more effectively with mental health problems. Summary
