Someone that I feel I have a positive relationship is with my grandma Idania. The reason I feel I have a positive relationship with her is because not only is she always there for me but I feel as if I could go to her for anything no matter what the situation is. She is always understanding and willing to listen. Truthfulness plays a part in our open relationship because I know I have to be 100% truthful with her and she will always love me for who I am.
2. What effects do you think the various types of media (TV, Internet, newspapers, Facebook, etc…) have on your own life and your family? Do you think the overall effect is negative or positive? How can parents reduce the negative effects?
I believe the various types of media can affect my family in a negative way because of all the bad news on television causes my parents to worry and not allow me to go out and all the bad language on television is bad for young children, such as my three year old cousin. My cousin is at the age now that she repeats everything she hears and sees. She hears someone using inappropriate language on TV and she thinks it is okay for her to say it. But the social media can have a positive effect too; there are so many positive and inspiring web sides, apps, and blogs, which have helped so many people to get through difficult times. TV shows for kids help them with the language, it made them enjoy and learn new things. So I believe it could be both negative and positive. Parents can reduce the negative effects by monitoring their children and what they hear and see, so they prevent the negative effect that have the social media.

*Social media can influence a teenager's self-esteem negatively because females are always looking up to the models on Instagram or Facebook thinking that just be cause they are a size 0 they have to be a size 0 too. Also, I believe…
