8th Grade Research Paper
Dear 8th Graders You have transversed into now becoming an 8th grader. I’d like to first begin with congratulating you on your success in passing the 7th grade, which is a big accomplishment. But, 8th grade is extremely different academically, and socially. Your mind practically changes over the first few months. In this essay, I will talk to you about how to act, what to expect, and tips-and-tricks on being an 8th grader at Central Junior High School. First of all, you need to mature in the way you act. For instance, in 7th grade you could play jokes on your teachers or pull pranks in the classroom. In 8th grade, you can still cut up with the teachers and have fun, but a majority of the time needs to be serious and consist of you trying …show more content…
When you are doing work, you can’t talk or be in a different world. You need to focus on the task given to you and try to get it done. The teachers will be a little strict at the beginning of the year, but this is because they really need you to cooperate, and it will get better as the year goes on. If there is a question the teacher asks, raise your hand and give it your best. Don’t be scared to get the answer wrong. The teacher will most likely explain how to do the problem. Third, I have gradually discovered a few tips-and-tricks on how to make your life easier in 8th grade. Keeping a piece of paper containing your information for the homework that night helps you to not forget to do it. Making up songs to go with the material is a really good way of studying and was a life-saver for me. For weekend homework, try to get it done before 7:00p.m. on Saturday so that you can do fun weekend things and still get your homework done without rushing. Overall, just try to save time and be organized. To conclude, I hope this writing will help you with your time as an 8th grader. For me, my 8th grade year went by so fast and I’m definitely going to miss it. Just remember to breathe and try not to get overwhelmed or stressed. I’m excited to see how you do in the 8th grade. I know that this information will help you in the long

I was always an honor roll student. It had never been a struggle for me to make good grades. Everything was about to change because of my seventh-grade English teacher, Mrs. Maria Johnson. Because of all of the journal writing in Mrs. Johnson's class, I am a better student today.…

You might just do everything because you are being forced to, or you might treat every assignment as a learning experience. Ask for help when you need it. If you are struggling in a subject, do not ignore it and get poor grades. Ask for help from a teacher, or even a friend that is doing well in that subject. Another thing that will help you academically is staying organized. Keep all of your work and homework neat and tidy in a binder or folder. Next, do not get into trouble. This means do not fight with any of your classmates or argue with your…

Around the time I started middle school, I moved to a brand new house. Before, I had lived in an apartment complex with all my cousins and their friends. Now I was alone, with my books, paper, and games. On top of that, it was going to be my first year at Edendale Middle School. Over those three years, I made three mistakes, that made me awkward and socially inept. The first mistake I made was that I did not seek out people I already knew. Many people from Hesperian went on to Edendale. It didn’t feel like a priority at the time. The second mistake I made was going straight to my classes during our free periods. I didn’t linger around to socialize, I just went straight to my next class and sat. Sometimes doing homework, but mostly doing nothing. The third mistake I made was going home right after school. I didn’t participate in any extracurricular activities. I just went home, so that I could indulge myself in my hobbies. School wasn’t particularly interesting. Though I did enjoy the days…
