2,996 people were killed in the tragic accident of September 11, 2001 (How Many People Died in 9/11). Many people died because of two airplanes that got hijacked and hit the well known Twin Towers in New York. New York’s horrible accident caused a lot of chaos, disaster and broken families, yet many ask these questions “What was 9/11? What happened in 9/11? Who was Osama bin Laden? How did it happen? Why did it happen? And what were the consequences or results of this tragedy?” Therefore, the tragedy of September 11, 2001 had many causes, effects and security changes for the United States.
This is one of the questions that were asked “what was 9/11?”. Well, 9/11 was an event that happened in New York. “New York’s well known twin towers got attacked by four different airplanes on September 11th of 2001. The building collapsed”(What was 9/11). These buildings were being attacked by a group of terrorist in Iraq. This group involved Osama bin Laden and members of the Al-Qaeda group. Residences of New York were terribly affected by this horrific terrorist attack. So many peoples’ lives had changed and it was not even the afternoon yet so many people died. Mothers, fathers, children, firemen were killed with this one attack.
Osama bin Laden was first asked about the attack but he denied everything. Later on Osama bin Laden posted videos admitting that he had a part in 9/11. He was recorded talking about it and about how happy he was on what had happened, and that it should be heard and celebrated (bin Laden claims responsibility). New York now had a day changed from any ordinary day to a total tragedy. That day will be never forgotten and will be remembered every year from that point on. 9/11 inspired a lot of artists to create songs for the people who had loved ones involved in the attack and had passed away or had survived. People might say “But how do artists get inspiration to write songs about such an event?”Well, that brings up the
