According to Entrepreneur.com, “ By the early 1960s, Disney presided over a sprawling family entertainment empire, but, unsatisfied, he bought 27,000 acres near Orlando, and soon a second magic kingdom, Walt Disney World, began to rise above the Florida swamps.(Entrepreneur.com). Walt Disney lived his whole life always trying to do more, and even after building a theme park, he wanted to build another. Disney shows me how once you pursue your own dream, you cannot stop, and will always want to keep going and pursuing more. Sadly, Walt Disney did not live long enough to see his whole dream of a second theme park put into action. “But Disney never saw his dream completed. He died of lung cancer in 1966, at the age of 65” (Entrepreneur.com). Since Disney world and Disneyland have become very successful, I think Walt Disney would be very happy to see how far things have come. Walt Disney said before he died, ”I hate to see downbeat pictures. I know life isn't that way, and I don't want anyone telling me it is." (Entrepreneur.com). this shows how even though Disney might have had a rough childhood, many of his family members supported him, and he had a successful life. Disney has shown how his determination has allowed him to achieve his dreams as well as enjoy them. I believe he was a major influence because he has been through some hardships, and still managed to work his way to the top. Disney never stopped believing in himself, and even when he had achieved so much, to a point where many people would stop, he just kept going. In my life, I have a few focuses; these include band and weight lifting. When I go to the gym, I have a set number or weight that I want to reach by the end. There are some days I do not reach that weight. There were days where Disney probably had some cartoons that were a bust, and they did not become popular, but that did not stop him. He kept going until he had some great ideas that became very popular. One thing that Disney did that influenced me, was how after building Disneyland, he did not think it was enough, and decided to build Disney World. This shows how he was always an overachiever. I want to be an overachiever in the bench press, if I hit my certain weight for the day; I want to always strive for more. One day I will achieve my dreams and then proceed to go past them, just like Walt
