A Humorous Wedding Speech-Best Man
Good evening family and friends, for those of you who are unsure who this tall dark and handsome man standing before you is, I am the Best man, Tyler McCart, and my sidekick Dylan, the other best man. For those of you who know and understand Austin, I’m hoping this will be a joyous speech, if you don’t know Austin well then this could be the longest 5 minutes of your life.
How do you give a speech about a man who comes from humble beginnings, a man who is destined for greatness based merely on intellect, perseverance, and the tenacity to push on where others have never gone before? Public speaking has always been a grey area for me, so needless to say I am a bit nervous; however, Austin, as he has done so many times in the past, pulled me off to the side to help calm me.
He said, “If I do a good job and go easy on him, I can be the best man at his next
wedding”!
In all seriousness, I would like to begin by applauding the newly wedded couple, Austin and Brooke. Those of you who have been lucky enough to be graced by their presence realize what a great couple they are together, perfectly complementing one another.
When I first met Brooke, which was at Kosta’s Kitchen so many years ago, I was enveloped by her beauty, charm and whit. Fast-Forward to today, I realize Brooke is much more than a pretty face. She is a woman whose outer beauty is matched with inner beauty as well. Brooke’s kindness and generosity, whether demonstrating through her clients at work or what is now one united family, is the most striking quality she possesses. Brooke, I am not only proud, but honored to have you as a sister.
