A Thematic Analysis Of The Song Where Is The Love

The song “Where is the love” was released in 2003 in America by American hip hop group, Black Eyed Peas, which was written in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City (Ktohare4). There are multiple social and political problems during the early 2000s and this song addressed them like the problems on violence, terrorism, racism, hate, and anger (Frey, Hanenburg). Even though the whole song calls out all the negative things happening in the world, the main idea of the song is about peace and unity.
According to Justin et. sl, they are feeling problematic and stress as they see all the negative things happening in the world and money and selfishness are blinding people from getting better and making the world a better place (Justin et. al).
