Task 1:
I have had many life experiences along with several family influences, one that has always stayed with me which is the biggest reason why i first wanted to take upon this career was my mother.
When i was little my mother would always talk about how she helped people and it would give her the most amazing feeling knowing she helped at least one person everyday. Consequently this made me wonder how it felt to support those people that really needed aid. It also made me wonder how amazing it really felt whist doing this partly the reason why I wanted to do this career. My mother was a nurse and since i was around the age of 7 I always wanted to be like her, due to the fact that i want to help people just like her. Moreover my mother made me realize how important it is to help those in need. She made me strive for the best and I always wanted to be just like her helping other people. In addition when she was ill in the hospital the nurse taking care of her did so well making sure she was comfortable and we was comfortable too; when she passed away I knew she was happy, this made it less harder to let her go. This made me realize the real meaning of being a nurse and how helping people is only part of the job it also includes being able to help others feel emotionally ready. This concept made me more want to be a nurse.
Another concept that made me want to take this course is my work experience during year 10. In year 10 I did my work experience at St Wilfred’s Primary school. During my work experience i worked with year 2 where i learnt many different skills that would help me in the primary school sector. Work experience really made me want to work in the health care sector because I really enjoyed working with the kids and doing several activities. Seeing the children happy made me think what helping people really meant and that is one of the reasons why i want to become a nurse, to help people and make them happy.
