Abraham Lincoln: A True Hero
“I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people” (Maya Angelou). Even though some people may not appreciate them it doesn’t mean that a hero won’t always be there to help. Being a hero takes sacrifice such as people may not like them, their life could be on the line, and the amount of time they spend trying to make this world better. Many heroes in history have spent their whole lives fighting for a cause that sometimes doesn’t happen until years after they’ve died. But it was their choice, their life, their dream and hero’s fight to make them happen. So even though being a hero takes extraordinary sacrifice, it also takes countless amounts of dedication to want to make a change in the world.

Abraham Lincoln is a true historic hero. A reason for this is that a hero should be inspiring in life and death and inspire people to do amazing things and make the right decisions. Lincoln is doing just that, by becoming president and being president when the country was torn apart he inspired people to be brave in any situation. Another reason is that a hero should help and defend those who can’t do it themselves. Abraham Lincoln did that by wanting to end slavery which in the end, would save thousands of lives. And that is some reasons, not all of them, as to why Abraham Lincoln is a historic hero.
