He was not emotionally prepared to come into office. He suffered nervous breakdowns at the age of 24 and had to spend some time in a sanitarium. Since the number one cause of nervous breakdowns is stress, he should not have run for president, as it is a stressful job.…
President John F. Kennedy (JFK) is the 35th president of the United States of America. On January 20, 1961, he made his Inaugural Address. In this speech, he addressed his goals for the nation when he says, "we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty." By this means that as a nation, we should meet any needs necessary to maintain the freedom and justice of the people. He uses effective tactics and rhetorical devices, such as anaphora, chiasmus, and asyndeton, to maintain a conversational, yet clear and compelling, tone throughout the speech.…
Throughout America's existent many different presidents have come and have shaped this country for the good and the bad. These two presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt the 32nd president and Barack Obama the 44th president of the United States.…
George Washington is the best president in United States history. The importance of time and place is found most in who gets to create history. Many intelligent men were involved in the creation of the United States. Washington presided over them earning the title “Father of his Country”. Many great presidents have came after him, but along with his fortunate place in history, his accomplishments and character send him to the top to be recognized as the best president the United States has ever had.…
“Who is the best president?”. That question has been debated for years upon years now. From Woodrow Wilson to Barack Obama, there are a plethora of presidents who can be named the worst or best throughout the last 100 years or so. Many people argue over who was best. President Harry Truman, and Franklin Roosevelt were two powerhouses. From Truman being credited in helping the creation of NATO and the CIA, to Roosevelt's times from the Great Depression to WWII. Both presidents were fantastic, but the best president in the last 100 years is simply, Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan was not only known for being “Teflon Ron” or being known for cracking jokes, he is profoundly known for crushing communism, strengthening the economy and our national defense,…
Presidential Evaluation- George Washington was a president of the highest measures. He set up the office of the president almost single-handedly and had to settle disgruntled farmers in western Pennsylvania that were specters of the original Revolutionaries. He also had to juggle both the British and French harassments and also choose to not support the new French government in their war against Britain. That choice was unpopular among many of the American people but he kept to his decision because he wanted to make sure that his new nation would continue to exist and hold its own against any foreign power in the future. To rate George Washington is an extremely difficult thing to do. The man set the guidelines of the presidency and was always looking out for the good of the government and the people. I will rate him 10/10 because he is the guideline for all the other presidents to compare…
“ With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God” Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Infamy Speech, presented on December 8, 1941.(“ Day of”) How many people daily think about the 32nd president of our nation, Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Goodwin)? He served the longest term as President; four two-year terms, was diagnosed with polio, and helped guide our nation through the world altering crisis of the Great Depression and World War Two. Franklin Roosevelt was a great man who empowered the American people to keep hope during the Great Depression, stand strong in World War Two, and until his dying day believed in this nation. We…
As the oldest president inaugurated during his time and the first to die in office just within 31 days, President William Henry Harrison is ranked with a 2. He delivered a two hour long inaugural address, the longest on record, but passed away from pneumonia because of his imperviousness. He was only elected because of his political popularity that derived from him being a "war hero", which at that point in American history generally meant killing Native Americans, a feat Harrison managed somehow at the battle of Moraviantown, during the War of 1812, which itself was one of the stupidest wars fought by two nations. That is why President William Henry Harrison if not is the worst president in U.S. history.…
The Great Depression was the greatest economic crisis in the Western World. The stock market crashed on October 1929, sending Wall Street up in flames. By 1933, the Great Depression reached a high point leaving over thirteen million Americans jobless (“The Great Depression”). Relief and reform measures were soon put into place to lessen the heavy load the Great Depression created, but America would not fully recover until after 1939.…
William Jefferson Clinton also known as “Bill” our 42nd president was a very good president for the most part. He was not a good president just because there was a surplus in the economy at the end of his eight year term but he kept the peace during his term. Though I was not around for much of his term I think he did a pretty good job at what he did. Clinton got many people interested in voting for him when he started talking about a family man in office. The people wanted a better economy so that was his ultimate goal to give the people what they want.…
his power that came with being the head of the executive branch and used illegal audio surveillance to spy on political opponents. He also ordered various agencies to harass activities and political figures. What keeps him from being the worst President is that his first term was filled with good policy choices. He visited the People's Republic of China and opened up diplomatic relationships between the two nations. His administration embraced policies that transferred powers from the federal government to the states, and many other things. What hurt him the most was his second term that was nothing compared to the first and was considered a trainwreck and a…

If there is a definition of the phrase, "Horrible President," the first two words you read are Andrew Jackson. His bad decisions surely outweighed his good by an unknown scale. Put together his violent, forceful attitude with his inability to let things go and you've got a terrible match. People say your actions define who a person is, and his moves as the lead of our country certainly defined him.…
