I believe that there isn’t enough evidence to prove or disprove Adnan’s innocence I believe this because, a lot of the evidence that has been used against Adnan is shut by the witnesses or other facts. As an example, Asia claims she saw him in the library, but Jay says he was with Adnan getting rid of the body. They don’t have enough actual evidence to tell who's telling the truth. There is a possibility that Jay is lying and using Adnan as a cover up, but it’s also possible that Adnan is doing the same. Adnan might not be guilty because Jay’s story has been changed multiple times and he is not very credible. Adnan may also be guilty because he gives almost every place he went that day and there is record of his phone calls. We know that Jay had every motivation to lie and no motivation to the tell the truth; had a demonstrated history of lying when it was to his own advantage; and lacked
They had an uncooperative suspect, Jay that they had to make cooperative. But to believe they coerced Jay’s testimony in its entirety, you have to believe they also coerced Jen’s testimony as well. You have to believe that something as substantial as finding Hae’s car was hidden from her family. You have to discount incriminating cell phone evidence, most notably the Leakin Park cell phone pings. You have to develop wild theories about how all corroborating testimony was incorrectly attributed as having occurred on Jan 13th. etc. Is all of this possible? Yes. We live in a multiverse after all. Is it reasonable? No. Any reasonable outside observer can see that the odds that Jay was not involved directly in the burial (and tangentially the murder) of Hae Min Lee are remote. And if Jay is involved, any reasonable person would have to conclude Adnan is by far the most likely perpetrator of the murder. Just as any reasonable person would find Jay and probably Jen, as involved as accessories after the
