Advantages- * The energy from the sun is 100% free * Infinite energy * Solar energy is a renewable resource * Eco friendly * Less to no pollution compared to now * Does not emit any green house gasses * Cost effective in long run * Not a lot of maintenance * Most solar panel systems have long life span (30 to 40 years) * And carry full warranty of 20 to 30 years * And if you don’t like bulky solar panels there are sleeker more modern ones called Uni-Solar that lay directly on roof. * Can dramatically drop or reduce electric bills * Can be designed for any or a lot of your particular needs * You can be solely solar powered if you want but you also have the choice of being connected to state electricity grid as well to being solar powered. * Adding solar power will create job and in this economy people are in need of jobs. * Helps people avoid the high rise of fuel market
Disadvantages- * The upfront cost of solar panels to convert the solar energy * Solar energy systems for your entire house can run from a minimum of $15,000 to $35,000 * Not the most appealing when seen * Only works hen sun is out; not constant * Many question the efficiency of solar panels. Only 22% of solar energy is converted to electrical energy. It has developed a lot recently though * Solar electricity storage technology has not reached its high point yet
