Crime continues to grow year by year and more people are in jail right now than ever before. People are being put on trial for crimes that they have either convicted or are accused of have done. Law enforcement are the people who are the first to respond to any call that has been made to 911 regarding a crime or breaking of law. Police makes many arrests of people who they think have broken the law or have been threat to others safety. Police are there to make sure that the community is safe and aren’t living in a constant state of fear. Law enforcement throughout the years have implemented rules and regulation that help keep people around the town or community safe. Many times when people get robbed, they have a fear that the thief will return and they do not have the money to hire a security. At this point, law enforcement team up with the store owners and stake out the place to the perpetrator. This way people who live around the area or shop around the area feel safe and aren’t afraid to go there anymore. Law enforcement make sure people are safe where they live and aren’t in a constant state of fear. Many Police officers don’t deem it necessary to be involved in the community or get to know their surroundings and the environment in which they take part in. Many people don’t know the police that work in their community and what they do to help people in the community. Many Law enforcement is only subjected to doing their jobs that include like watching their community or like giving tickets but most lack the effort and time to get involved in their community. The environment they work in is mostly ignored and they only care about the money they get paid to do the least amount of work. Many police officers don’t take the time to get to know the people they are serving and many times that leads to a misfortunate event that leaves everyone grieving and thinking how it could have been avoided. For example, if the officers who shot Stephen Clark knew him they wouldn’t have shot him on impulse and maybe took the time to talk to him and figure why he was there and what he was doing. Instead they shot him and left him to bleed and waited five minutes until they could help him and get him medical assistance. This shows how lack of community involved put someone’s life in danger and ended up killing them when in reality they were innocent. This also includes police
