African American Experience

Living in the United States it is inevitable working or interacting with people that are different than us. In school, at work everywhere you go you interact with people that are different than you. My most recent experience can be at work, with both children and teachers. I come from a Hispanic background, but the teachers at the company are from a different race than me; one is African American and the other is Indian. Interacting with them everyday is special because I end up learning something about their culture every time. Been open minded about people, culture, and believes is what makes everyday especial. They bring cultural food for lunch and share with everyone, trying new foods is amazing because you learn a bit about their country by the food.
This experience has taught me that not everyone is the same, think the same, or act the same. But that each one of us has something special that can be taught and be taken by other people just because there are great experiences to pass along. Not everything you do with people will be pleasant, but overcoming challenges that you encounter is a great way to learn about once patience and point of views. Each culture is different, but because we live in a country that is full of diversity we need to learn to interact with everyone the same way, and find the special characteristics of everyone. Being open minded about people can leave a lot of room for learning and understanding, why people do the things they do and how things that are insignificant to us may mean a lot to
