Executive Summary
Since the new K-12 curriculum was implemented, the population of the student on secondary high school is expected to grow bigger. Like any other high school, Agay National High School needs an efficient enrollment system to hold a huge number of students during enrolment. The addition of an automated enrollment system on the school will make the work of the teachers and students on enrolment days easier and faster. A computerized system will also provide a much manageable database; with a descent network sharing of information will also be a less of a hassle. For the past four decade, the school has been using a manual enrollment system. Due to the growth of the student’s population, the school needs a better enrolment system. The proposed automated system will help the teachers enter student’s information to the school database. The system will have different approach on new and transferee and old students. With new and transferee students, the system will just add their informations and divide them to their respective grade levels and sections. With old students, the system will only just update their old information to accommodate their current status. After the insertion of the students on the enrollees list they are segregated to different sections. The entire student record will be kept in the guidance office. The main system runs on Visual Basic 6.0, a computer programming system developed and owned by Microsoft with a programming language based from BASIC language. The system’s database will be handled by XAMPP, a free software package containing the Apache HTTP Server, MySQL database.
