1.3 Definitions Age discrimination is a person being treated unfairly than another person in a similar situation, because of their age (Australian Government, 2016). Age discrimination can be divided into two types: direct and indirect age discrimination which can be decided by whether there is distinct and direct action in the purpose to discriminate (Australian Government, 2016).
