Aileen Wuornos: Serial Killers

Aileen Wuornos, other known as Aileen Carol Pittman, was working as a prostitute in Florida when she was convicted of the murder of seven men. Aileen claimed these men raped her, which led her to killing them at point blank range. As a child, Aileen, along with her siblings, were abandoned by her mother leaving them with their grandparents. Growing up Aileen claimed she was being abused as well as sexually assaulted by her grand father. She even alleged having sexual relations with her brother, Keith. When Aileen was 11 years old, she was taking part in sexual activities in return for drugs as well as food. At the age of 14, Aileen gave birth to a boy that she placed for adoption whose father resulted being her grandfather’s friend. Soon after
The first man she murdered was Richard Mallory who she claimed raped her. Since he had a record of raping females, Aileen stated she murdered him in self-defense in 1989. Roughly six months later, police found the body of David Spears who had multiple gun wounds. Soon after finding the body of David Spears, police found yet another body, which was decomposed but later, identified as Charles Carskaddon. With the discovery of Charles body, police began to see a resemblance in the murders pinpointing to the fact that they had a serial killer lose. One month later the car of Peter Siems was found crashed but the body was never recovered; people commenced to say they saw two females in the car with Peter moreover leading towards the description of Aileen. One month passed until police found her next victim, which was Eugene Burress who was a delivery driver. Police later found Dick Humphrey’s body in September of 1990. After two months, Walter Antonio, who was also a truck driver, was found dead by police. All her victims were found naked with multiple gun wounds using .22 firearms. Aileen declared while she was working as a prostitute these men attempted to rape her therefore murdered
Under evaluation psychiatrists confirmed Aileen suffered from antisocial personality disorder as well as personality disorder. Aileen was considered to have multiple mental complications as well as being an alcoholic. Psychiatrists stated Aileen was going through personality disorder at the time of the crime, which was caused by events from her early life. When she was interviewed, Aileen was unable to stay consistent with her story, but psychiatrist indicated it was due to her personality disorder. Aileen was viewed as a product of her own gruesome life. Despite all the evaluations, Aileen never considered herself to be insane; she always thought of herself as a sane person who murdered these men to rob
