Airwv Monologue
Charmed By: Leala Period:4 AirWave. The name of the town where Phoebe lived. She was riding her hoverboard mid-day on Saturday. Phoebe was a mail woman so she could make money to eat. She is 15 and most people would say that was a bit young to work, but when you don’t have any parents or money, it wasn’t. She lived in Ms. Em’s orphanage. It was the year of 2037, where technology has had a big hit. There are hover cars, hover boards, and even hover HOUSES! She was on her way back from the last house when she bumped into her friend Katlyn. “Hey Katlyn. Where are you heading?” Phoebe asks.
“I’m going down to the candy shop to buy some candy. My mom gave me a lot of money today. Want to come?” Katlyn suggests.

Phoebe zoomed to the orphanage and snaps her fingers. Her board floats to the ground and she trips off. She has always been accident prone. Even when she was small. She goes up to her room and plugs her earbuds in.
“Help me Polarize, help me Polarize…..” She mumbles.
“Hello.” Ms. Em came in. “How was your ride?” She unplugs and says,
“Free. I really HATE being stuck here in this room.” Phoebe complains.
“I know.” Ms. Em says. “But even if I were to adopt you, you would still be stuck here.”
“Yeah. I am tired. I’m going to head to sleep.” Phoebe makes up an excuse so she doesn’t have to talk about this. Phoebe never did like talking about her feelings. She just wants to deal with them on her own.
“Ok. See you in the morning.” Ms. Em turns out the light. Phoebe fell asleep quicker than she thought she would. She dreamt about being able to fly. SHe was looking down at all the people trying to find her sisters or someone she knew. She saw no one. She woke up right when she was falling. It was early Sunday. Her favorite day. No work, didn’t have to stay in the orphanage, she could enjoy herself. She would go to her special space. Phoebe goes to pick up her hover board but it’s dark and she can’t see. She trips over it, and lands on a cement block. The orphanage wasn’t always the best place. It was under some construction. She goes to Ms. Em and finds out her arm is broken. “I will always be right here.” As soon as Katlyn leaves, Phoebe jumps from the grass and goes to a secret compartment she found a few days ago. SHe hadn’t told Katlyn about it because it was a bit personal for her. In her mind it wasn’t a secret, just something that she hasn’t told her friend about. She got out a book. It was worn out and the pages were stiff. It’s like when you get a new book, but instead this was an old one. She never did read aloud. Only in her head. She had been reading from this book ever since she found the compartment, though she never did notice what was on the cover. Without thinking about it she read aloud “Dear my three daughters thee, let the waves of magic wash over.” There was a gust of wind and what she didn’t realize was that the picture of her and her two sisters, all of the sisters sat closer together. She was a little freaked out by the sudden gust of wind, so she put the book away just in time as Katlyn walks
